Itinerary
This 13 Nights / 14 Days itinerary takes you on a complete journey across Sri Lanka, beginning in Negombo and continuing through the ancient cultural cities of Anuradhapura, Sigiriya, and Polonnaruwa, followed by the sacred city of Kandy. The tour then moves into the scenic hill country of Nuwara Eliya and Ella, featuring breathtaking landscapes and a memorable train experience, before heading to Yala for an exciting wildlife safari. The journey concludes with relaxation along the stunning southern coastline, including Mirissa and a peaceful beach stay, offering the perfect balance of culture, nature, adventure, and leisure.
DAY 1 - Arrival in Sri Lanka – Negombo
Arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport (CMB) and meet our representative. Transfer to Negombo (approx. 20 minutes). Depending on arrival time, enjoy a relaxing beach walk and sunset views. Overnight stay in Negombo.
Day 2 – Negombo | Wilpattu | Anuradhapura / Sigiriya
Optional morning visit to the Negombo Fish Market. In the afternoon, enjoy a half-day safari at Wilpattu National Park, famous for leopard sightings. Continue to Anuradhapura or Sigiriya for overnight stay.
Day 3 – Sigiriya | Polonnaruwa
Visit the UNESCO-listed ancient city of Polonnaruwa. Enjoy a traditional village tour and optional Ayurveda massage experience. Return to Sigiriya and relax for the evening. Overnight stay in Sigiriya.
Day 4 – Sigiriya | Dambulla | Kandy
Visit the Dambulla Cave Temple and climb the iconic Sigiriya Rock Fortress (Lion Rock). Proceed to Kandy via Matale, visiting a herbal garden en route. In the evening, visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic. Overnight stay in Kandy.
Day 5 – Kandy City Tour
Enjoy a full day in Kandy with a walk around Kandy Lake, visits to local markets and street vendors. Optional visit to the Royal Botanical Gardens, gemstone, batik, wood carving factories, and showrooms. End the day with a traditional Kandyan cultural dance performance. Overnight stay in Kandy.
Day 6 – Kandy | Nuwara Eliya
Travel through scenic hill country to Nuwara Eliya. Visit Ramboda Waterfall, a tea plantation, and tea factory with tasting. Explore Gregory Lake and the colonial-style Post Office. Enjoy the cool climate of Little England. Overnight stay in Nuwara Eliya.
Day 7 – Nuwara Eliya | Ella
Experience the famous scenic train journey from Nuwara Eliya to Ella (subject to availability). Visit the Nine Arch Bridge and hike Little Adam’s Peak. Relax in Ella town. Overnight stay in Ella.
Day 8 & Day 9 – Ella Exploration
Spend two days exploring Ella at leisure. Optional hikes, visits to Secret Waterfall, and time at cafés and viewpoints surrounded by nature. Overnight stays in Ella.
Day 10 & Day 11 – Ella | Yala National Park
Travel to Yala National Park. Enjoy a full-day jeep safari to spot leopards, elephants, and other wildlife. Two nights stay near Yala.
Day 12 – Yala | Mirissa / Weligama
Proceed to the southern coast. Relax on golden beaches and explore the coastal surroundings. Overnight stay in Mirissa or Weligama.
Day 13 – Mirissa / Weligama | Colombo
Early morning whale-watching tour (seasonal). Later, travel to Colombo with visits to Galle Fort and Kosgoda Turtle Hatchery. Enjoy a Colombo city tour including Independence Square, Gangaramaya Temple, Galle Face Green, and shopping at Odel, Laksala, and Arcade.
